A Voice In The Distance

When I was born I didn't know where I came from or where i was going
all i knew was that i loved my mommy and she knew what was right
when i was eight i started on my journey towards the voice
there were many paths but only one was right

far over the mainland and across the sea
there was a voice come follow me
i didn't know what it was or what it meant

i got stuck now back on the right path i go onward to the gentle voice i go
so close now i can see a man dressed in white that blinds the eyes
i did everything you told me to and tried my best
